As a mother of three teen daughters, I’m trying to raise them at a time when they socialise via small devices they hold in their hands. As if that isn’t challenging enough, I worry that they are under way more pressure than I was growing up, when I bumbled my way into a university course, and then a journalism degree, followed by a job. Young people have never been under more pressure, according to experts, and this is causing unprecedented waves of depression and anxiety. I wrote about this for The Listener, and I hope readers will get some tips out of it. I certainly did!
